Caractérisation des systèmes d'élevage caprin dans la région humide et subhumide de Bizerte

Language: FRThe Identification of goat raising system in Bizerte confirmed its persisting traditional aspect getting along with cattle and sheep raising. Technical and economic performance realized with goals seems much better in small farms the acreage of which goes from zero to less than 5 Ha. Such performance is achieved by grazing in grassy pasture lands of the area where the grass cover has been degrading for a while. On the other hand, actually goat raising is as remunerating as other animal speculation (mainly cattle and sheep). Thus, in order to clearly show up goat raising structural difficulties (not controlled so far by the raiser himself), research must be continued and enforced. Difficulties of managing goat raising speculation are far from being resolved essentially when the flock size is large and the farm acreage exceeds 20 Ha.
L'analyse du système de l'exploitation caprine à Bizerte a confirmé son aspect traditionnel de persistance avec l'exploitation bovine et ovine. L'exploitation caprine semble donner une performance technique et économique bien meilleure dans les petites exploitations agricoles ayant une superficie allant de zéro à moins de 5 Ha. Une telle performance est atteinte par le pacage sur des terres dont le gazon a été pendant un certain temps dégradé. D'autre part, l'exploitation caprine est une activité aussi rentable que d'autres élevages de bétail (notamment bovin et ovin). Ce qui justifie des travaux de recherche plus approfondis et étendus pour mieux illustrer les difficultés structurelles de l'élevage caprin (jusqu'à présent non contrôlé même pas par l'éleveur). Les difficultés liées à l'exploitation caprine sont loin d 'être résolues, surtout lorsque le troupeau est grand et que la superficie de l'exploitation excède les 20 Ha.
